Lagniappe

Lagniappe. (LAN-yap) is a very interesting word and it's a word every professional sales representative should know the meaning of. It's a word commonly used in the deep South. In Webster's New World College Dictionary it says Lagniappe is a small present given to a customer with a purchase. Think of it as giving extra value, offering a small bonus, or providing an unexpected gift.

Don't be too busy to do this. People really appreciate gifts, especially when they're not expected.
Perhaps the best example is a baker's dozen of anything you buy - you ask for 12 and they give you 13.

I hope you're incorporating lagniappe's in your business. I hope you're routinely giving them to your customers.

Now it's time for me to practice what I'm preaching. Here's a link toa f-r-e-e eCourse,

Are Your Goals Set For The New Year . . .

Are you ready to succeed in 2005?

Don't be too quick to answer unless you have established your goals.

You're ready if:

1. You have established written goals for your personal life.

2. You have established written goals for your professional life.

3. You have specific goals for personal growth - in writing.

4. You have specific goals for improving your physical well-being.

5. You have specific goals for vacations and fun stuff - in writing.

. . . and you're ready if you have an outrageoulsy positive attitude going into 2005.

Remember, there's only one person holding you back from achieving your goals.

You can become the person you're capable of becoming when you commit to doing it.

Make every day a MASTERPIECE!
